These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the TruNorth Systems website at trunorthsystems.org, our client portal, and our text messaging program (together, the “Services”). Please read them carefully. By using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using the Services, you confirm that you accept these Terms and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Our services, and your agreement with us

TruNorth Systems LLC (“TruNorth”) provides debt resolution and settlement support services. This website and portal are tools for managing an account with us — they are not themselves an offer of service and do not create any obligation on our part to resolve, reduce, or settle any debt.

If you have signed a separate agreement with us covering your account, that agreement governs the service itself — including fees, payment terms, the scope of any authority you give us, and what we do and do not promise. Where these Terms and that agreement conflict, that agreement controls. Nothing on this website modifies it.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Services. You agree that the information you give us is accurate and that you will keep it up to date.

4. Your account and the portal

You are responsible for keeping your portal credentials confidential and for activity that happens under your login. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission. We may suspend access where we reasonably suspect unauthorized use or a security risk.

5. Text messaging program

Our text messaging program sends account-related messages — for example payment reminders, plan updates, and service notifications — to consumers who have consented to receive them.

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts from us. We will send one confirmation message and then stop, other than any message required to complete a transaction you have already authorized.

Delivery and carriers

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery depends on your carrier and your device, and we cannot guarantee that every message will arrive.

Your mobile number

You confirm that you are the subscriber or customary user of the mobile number you give us, and you agree to tell us promptly if that number changes or is reassigned. Text messaging is not a secure channel; please do not send sensitive personal or financial information by text.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

The terms of any payment plan — amounts, timing, and what happens if a payment is missed — are set by your signed agreement with us, not by this page.

It is not legal, financial, tax, or credit-repair advice, and it does not take account of your particular circumstances. Nothing on this website creates an attorney-client relationship. The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TruNorth will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Services.

Any dispute arising out of these Terms or the Services will be brought in the state or federal courts located in South Carolina, and you and TruNorth each consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and post the updated Terms on this page. Continuing to use the Services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
